Contributor Biographies

Jayda Coons is an Assistant Professor of English in the Honors College at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her research focuses on nineteenth-century British literature, narrative, gender, and visual culture. She is currently writing a book on strange visual experiences in realist novels, part of which has been published in Nineteenth-Century Contexts. She received her Ph.D. (English) in 2019.

Dr. Aileen Miyuki Farrar is an Associate Professor of Literature at Nova Southeastern University. Her research interests are in nineteenth-century British literature and science culture with particular emphasis on gender studies. Her works have been previously published in Victorian Review and Victorians: A Journal of Culture and Literature.

Patricia Murphy is professor emerita at Missouri Southern State University. She has written extensively on Victorian literature in books and articles.
